Who?
B.C. Forest industry and ministry planners, managers and others with an interest in learning, discussing and providing input on information management issues such as:
- Forest Inventory Branch initiatives and interaction with industry
- Improving the Electronic Submission Process
- The role for information management in improving workplace safety
- Identifying the place and value of data sharing
- Integrated Land Management Bureau initiatives with industry
Why?
The role of information technology in our business has increased dramatically over the past few years. Digital information exchange and submission among licensees and between licensees and government has become part of our day to day business.
In order to ensure that these activities create positive value for all it is important that we understand upcoming initiatives, share concerns and work cooperatively to improve business processes. This workshop will provide that opportunity.
Decisions and recommendations arising from this workshop will move to the CIO Forum Group and the Joint Industry / MoF Operations Forum comprised of senior government and indistry executives for incorporating in programs.
