Front End Developer (Gaming)

DataCreatives, a technology consulting company is looking for a Front End Developer with the following skill sets with at least 5 years experience in the gaming industry, to work with our client in downtown Vancouver. 

Position: Front End Developer 
Location: Vancouver 
Status: Contract 
Start: Immediately 
Rate: Negotiable 

 

Technical Skills Required

At least 5 years industry technical experience working on front end development
Strong knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, Flex, graphics, and video
Experience in using Javascript library like YUI, jQuery, Dojo or Scriptaculous
Experience working with at least 2 modern Web frameworks like RoR, Django, Symfony, Struts etc.
Knowledge/experience with Ruby, Python, Erlang, and Scala highly beneficial
Experience working with databases and good knowledge of SQL. Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL experience preferred
Knowledge of HTTP and REST
Knowledge of source code management: CVS, Subversion, Git and/or Perforce

 

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Java and C/C++
Ability to work under stressful conditions and produce high quality results 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
