Lead Game Designer

DataCreatives, a technology consulting company is looking for a Lead Game Designer with the following skill sets with at least 5 years experience in the gaming industry, to work with our client in downtown Vancouver. 

Position: Lead Game Designer 
Location: Vancouver 
Status: Contract 
Start: Immediately 
Rate: Negotiable 

 

Technical Skills Required

5+ years of relevant game industry experience, including design work on shipped titles (preferably console) or games published for iPhone or portable consoles 
Experience with creation tools (Flash, Blitz, Virtools, GameMaker, etc.) 
Experience with level editing software (Unreal, Hammer, Far Cry, etc). 
Experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Macromedia)

 

Nice to have:

Experience in at least one scripting language (Python, LUA, Flash Action Script, etc.)
Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to work under stressful conditions and produce high quality results 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
