WebSphere Commerce Architect

DataCreatives, a Vancouver BC based technology consulting company is looking for a WebSphere Commerce Architect with the following skill sets with at least 5+ experience using IBM WebSphere products to work with one of our clients in Vancouver

 

Position: WebSphere Commerce Architect
Location: Vancouver
Status: 8 month Contract
Start: Immediately
Rate: Negotiable based on experience

 

Requirements

5+ years experience in application development.
Relevant experience in e-commerce architecture and design
Experience in WebSphere Commerce Development and WSAD/Portlet
Experience managing teams of developers
Experience with the following technologies and concepts

Object Oriented Design
J2EE Design Patterns
Database Concepts (SQL, ER Diagrams)
DB2 and/or Oracle database software
WebSphere (Application Server, Commerce Server, MQ)
Rational Application Developer (RAD) or WSAD
Java/J2EE (EJB, JCA, JNDI, JSTL, Struts)
Web Development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Experience with the following would be considered a plus

Service Oriented Architecture
Web 2.0 concepts (AJAX, Flash)
Message Queuing
Project Management(WPS)

 

Other Requirements

BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS a plus).
Strong systems, problem solving and analytical skills; excellent verbal & written communication skills
Highly effective time management and organizational skills
Independence with assignments
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Customer service orientation
Strong understanding of diverse technical environments and platforms
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
